Meet Brooke and Wes!

We were so honored when Wes contacted us about shooting their wedding. First off he’s an amazing photographer himself and it’s always pretty cool when another photographer asks you to shoot their wedding. Second we shot Brooke’s sister’s wedding a couple of years ago, and we love it when the family keeps coming back.

And they’re a pretty amazing looking couple you have to admit. Just check out those baby blues on both of them!

For their engagement shoot we settled on Worth Avenue on Palm Beach Island, always a favorite spot of ours. It’s always fun to do engagement shoots there because we just stroll down the avenue and take photos as we go along and then end up at the beach. We like to think of it as a double date.   And to cap off the evening we had dinner together at the Cheesecake Factory at City Place which was, of course, off the hook good!

Throw together a great couple at a great spot with Cheesecake Factory at the end and you have yourselves a couple of happy photogs.

With Mother’s Day just around the corner I’m sure we all are starting to think about our mothers and what they have done for us. I know I am. (And I’m also thinking why didn’t I mail her card out yesterday!)  My mom holds a place in my heart and life that no one else can fill. And my appreciation and love for her grows as I grow older and perhaps a little bit wiser.

Shane is just a little boy right now who I know loves his mother very much. I’m sure he even appreciates her. But I know Shane will grow to love, respect and appreciate his mommy even more when he’s grown and can look back at what she’s done for him. Because Melissa’s a very brave mommy cause she’s doing it all alone….and from what we observed during our shoot with them she’s doing it very well. You can tell he loves her so much and it’s pretty obvious she adores him.

So we salute all the terrific moms out there and are happy to share a few photos of Melissa and Shane.

It’s so hard to believe but Eva turns two today!  I can’t believe the tiny little baby I held in my arms is now pushing a stroller and cuddling her Barbie.

It’s kind of a teary, special day. We are so amazingly blessed, though, to have this awesome little girl in our lives.

Vincent and Sandra’s wedding was just so much fun!! Sandra is one of the sweetest people you will ever meet!! She never once lost her cool on her big day even though she had to ride in a taxi to the church since her limo didn’t arrive on time. Vincent was all smiles and laughter; he couldn’t wait to say “I do” to Sandra!

These two were just a stinkin’ cute couple.

And did I mention the bridal party? They were just an awesome bunch of people who loved and supported Vincent and Sandra all day! I can not say enough good things about Sandra, Vincent the bridal party, and their families! They really were just that great to be around. And the W was the perfect backdrop to their reception! We are so grateful to have met all of you and thank you for letting us share your day!!!

So if you are starting this day off with a sweet tooth this may not help. Christie and Javier had their first date at Cupcake Couture so it was fitting that we start their E-sesion there as well. These two know how to have fun and they are constantly making each other laugh. It is easy to see these two are made for each other! I also have to say, Christie you are a knock out!! Her eyes will suck you in. Thanks guys for the fun and we can’t wait for your wedding:)

Meet Paige.

She is just so stinkin’ sweet! No, really, not only is she a knock out, but she is really genuine! She is the kind of girl that I would have been friends with in high school. And she was so easy to take photos of; she was up for anything and was literally one of the best naturally serious face makers I think I have ever come across. I mean seriously is it really fair to have this much modeling skills!!!???

This post is more of a celebration than anything else. It is our first post on our new and fresh blog!  We’ve been wanting to update it for a long, long time because we felt that where we were artistically and style-wise had changed and our blog didn’t reflect that anymore. Our website also desperately needed a makeover so we launched ourselves into the process.

It’s been a long process…and a painful one sometimes. Late nights, depleted creativity, second-guessing, plus the two of us butting heads sometimes.   But they say two heads are better than one and hopefully the results bear that out.

So we thought that the first blog post on our new blog maybe should be one of us. We took a few pictures one evening down at the Jupiter Inlet to refresh our bio pics and, well, we liked a lot of them but could only use a few. So here are the leftovers. But hey! leftovers are good right?!

Meet Jen and Michael.

These two are so much fun. We knew we liked them a ton, but when they rocked out their choreographed first dance to Michael Jackson’s “The Way You Make Me Feel” and then a flash dance to Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” we knew we were in love with them!! For those of you who don’t know we love Michael Jackson ( the music not the person per se:)!! Jen and michael are so happy and in love so it would have been just down right impossible not to capture that!

Thanks Jen and Michael for letting us be a part of your fantastic Celebration! Here’s to many more (Thrilling) years.

Taking Lily’s newborn photos was like seeing an old friend…which isn’t something you can normally say about a little girl that’s been out and about for a little under two weeks, lol!  But Lily and I go way back. She and I first met when she was being born. Yes, I had the amazing honor and privilege of being there when she made her first appearance. (You can view the birth video here.) So I rather enjoyed our little reunion when we arrived at David and Jillian’s house to take her newborn photos.

Now I could go on and on about how absolutely adorable she is, how much I loved watching her parents hold her and love on her, etc. But I think I’ll let the photos speak for themselves (and yes, there are a lot of them) and also link you on over to the mommy’s blog where Jillian can tell you about Lily much better than I can.

Let me introduce you to the Genest family, one of the nicest families you’ll ever get to meet. They hearken from Arkansas and were in our area for a little vacation and layover before heading out on a Disney cruise. (Yes, we were very jealous of the Disney cruise part. We had a great time hanging out together at the Jupiter Inlet where we took pictures, chatted about the best places in Arkansas to get kid’s clothes and watched twins Michael and Ashley play in the (freezing) water.
